We Can Hear Your Foot Health!

Overview

Have you ever wondered what arteries sound like? At the Vascular Science stand, we are using handheld ultrasound devices to listen to arteries to assess them for disease. This is one of the many assessments that we do as Vascular Scientists and it involves applying ultrasound gel to the ankle and foot and listening to the blood flow to assess how well the arteries are working. We can also take a blood pressure at the ankle and arm to further assess this, which is known as ABPI. Come and have your arteries assessed or have a go at being a Vascular Scientist by assessing someone else!
