Welcome to our interactive science exhibit! We aim to showcase how science is for everyone and how it can impact diverse areas. In particular, we want to show how simple principles of light interactions affect so many different frontiers of human endeavour. Our research team is here to talk you through the demonstrations and answer your questions about how to become a scientist. The biophotonics team at the University of Southampton have applications in many fields including medical diagnosis, biological research, coral conservation and even microplastic detection. Highlights include a Mars Rover display, Singing bowls, light demonstrations and experienced scientists eager to tell their stories.
