Overview
- Waves that are particles, being in two places and neither at once – words get clumsy describing quantum mechanics. While some resort to mathematical equations, we will have a stab at interpreting quantum theory with ballet and breakdancing. We’ll teach you some ballet and breakdancing moves, throw in some ideas from quantum mechanics, and help you devise some quantum ballet/break dancing choreography of your own. The workshop is led by South West Dance Theatre ballet dancer Anna Demming Davis and breakdancer Silvia Orazzo. Demming is also a science writer with a PhD in photonics. All ages and levels of expertise welcome.
