  • Safe drinking water is a problem for nearly 1 billion people worldwide. Membrane filtration is a technique that can be used to clean water. In this process, high-pressure water is forced through a series of special filters (called membranes) to remove the impurities from the water. In this workshop, we will use our creative thinking combined with virtual reality to visualise what porous membranes look like and understand the way in which they block contaminants of certain sizes from passing through them.
