Through an interactive workshop, an introduction to environmental DNA (eDNA) sampling techniques will be demonstrated by The eDNA Consultancy. Participants will gain insights around eDNA and how we sample water, air and collect flies to monitor biodiversity, detect species presence, and track ecological changes. The workshop will include hands on opportunities to try out our citizen science monitoring kits and how to plan an eDNA survey. Alongside a presentation of how we use these techniques in conservation research to study the freshwater fish the European eel.
